When you think Glazed Ham, you might think of Easter or Christmas. I’ll admit- it is a staple at our family’s holiday dinners, too.
But I’m here to say that Glazed Ham is not just for holidays! Especially once you try smoking one in a Traeger.
Some people have told me that cooking a Ham is intimidating. There is nothing worse than a dry ham- but I’ve perfected my recipe and it comes out juicy and flavorful every time.
Like cooking any meat, it can take time and expertise to perfect it but don’t let being afraid scare you away from making something delicious for your family.
Ham Glazed with Pineapple
Ingredients:
1 6-10 lb Ham, either whole or spiral cut (I like whole as it stays juicier and I can cut thicker slices)
2 ½ Cups Brown Sugar
¾ C Pineapple Juice
1 Cup BBQ Sauce (Traeger Sweet & Heat is great with this recipe)
Instructions:
Set Smoker or Oven to 325 degrees and preheat
Place ham on cooking sheet lined with aluminum foil and put in smoker or oven once at 325 degrees
Mix brown sugar, pineapple juice and BBQ sauce
After first 30 minutes, glaze ham with mixture every 10-15 minutes
Cook ham for 10-15 minutes per pound or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.
