Baked Ham and Swiss Sliders are a classic party food that everyone enjoys. They are easy to make, quick to bake and the flavors are amazing! The buttery, poppyseed sauce on top is the perfect combination of sweet and savory.
What are Ham and Cheese Sliders?
Ham and Cheese sliders are made with King’s Hawaiian Rolls, deli ham and cheese. You then add few simple ingredients together to make delicious sauce that you pour on top of the sandwiches once assembled. You then bake the rolls until they become melty and gooey.
Swiss cheese is typically used for these baked sandwiches but we switched it up and tried White Cheddar Cheese which was equally delicious!
How do you assemble Ham and Swiss Sliders?
These sliders are incredibly easy to put together. After taking the rolls out of the package you will simply slice them in half, keeping the rolls together.
Layer your ham and cheese on the bottom half of the rolls and then placing the tops back on. Go on to brush the sweet and savory glaze, adding a sprinkle of poppy seed on top.
How do you make the glaze for sliders?
The glaze is also easy to make and consists of ingredients you most likely already have on hand! Simply place your ingredients in a sauce pan and warm slowly on medium-low heat. Stir it consistently until it’s warmed through and the brown sugar has liquefied.
How to make Ham and Swiss Cheese Sliders
Here is what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
- 2 packs King’s Hawaiian Rolls
- 1 lb Sliced Ham
- 2 packs sliced Swiss and/or Cheddar Cheese
- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds
Glaze:
- 2 sticks melted butter
- 3 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat Grill or oven to 350°
- Combine all Glaze ingredients in medium sauce pot and warm.
- Slice rolls in half with a bread knife and place on a cookie sheet
- Line with Ham then Cheese
- Then brush on a thin layer of glaze
- Put top rolls on then brush with more glaze until well covered
- Sprinkle on poppy seeds to cover.
- Place in grill for 20-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.
- Remove from grill and enjoy immediately
