How to Make Roasted Cinnamon Almonds
Yeah, those ones from the Ball Park, the State Fair, and the Mall.
You know that smell.
Roasted Cinnamon Almonds.
When it hits your nose, you know exactly what they are and you want some.
The problem is, they’re just so darn expensive and you end up passing on what would have been a delightful snack.
No longer!
This recipe is for 1lb of Almonds but is easily multiplied for bulk bags such as the 3lb bag from Costco.
So just do yourself a favor and go get that. You know you’re going to eat them.
First, preheat your smoker or oven to 250 degrees F.
Measure out 1 pound of Almonds and set aside.
Whisk one egg white until frothy and add 1 tsp of vanilla.
Add almonds to egg and vanilla mixture and coat well.
Next combine the following in a bowl.
½ Cup Sugar
½ Cup Brown Sugar
1 heaping Tbsp of Cinnamon
Add sugar mixture to your almonds and stir well until combined and each almond is coated.
Pour almond mixture onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and spread so that almonds are in one single layer.
Place pan in smoker or oven and roast for 70-90 minutes or until glaze is dry, stirring/turning almonds every 10 minutes.
Remove and let cool 5 minutes.
These almonds are delicious warm but I like to let them cool down as much as possible to make sure the glaze sets.
Enjoy!
